Full-time African-American college students enrolled at an accredited HBCU, who are in their Sophomore Year

· Majoring in a STEM field of study [Science, Technology, Engineering, Math]
· GPA: 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
· Transcript (unofficial transcript accepted)
· Submit 1 letter of recommendation from a department chair
· Submit 1 letter of recommendation from an instructor
· Submit one of two short essays (500-words) discussing the following:
◦ How can a career in STEM drive social change? OR ◦ How will I make a positive impact in the community through my STEM education and how will this scholarship assist me in doing so?
