Dr. Alma Rene Williams Memorial Scholarship

A memorial scholarship established by colleagues and friends for Dr. Alma Rene Williams, who was a member of the faculty of the History Department from 1979 until her early death in the year 2000; she also served as the chairperson of the department from 1988 to 1994. The scholarship honors Dr. Williams’ struggle against breast cancer by giving preference to students who have been or who are directly (or indirectly) affected by this disease.
