Henry McBay Scholarship

Initiated by a grant to Dr. McBay from the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation in recognition of Dr. McBay’s receiving the 1995 American Chemical Society award for “encouraging disadvantaged students into careers in the Chemical Sciences”. Dr. McBay used the proceeds from the award to set up this scholarship in 2001. Dr. McBay received his master’s degree from Atlanta University in 1936 and later was a professor of Chemistry for 40 years, teaching Chemistry to the Atlanta University Center students.
