Kevin Eugene Smith Endowed Fund

Mr. Smith was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1968. He received his formal education in Atlanta, graduating from Benjamin Mays High School in 1986, and graduating from Clark Atlanta University in 1992, with a BA in Marketing. He was a gifted trumpet player, received a band scholarship and played in the marching band and the Jazz Orchestra. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Phi Chapter. His beloved wife was Sharon and they had one daughter, Olivia. On August 6, 2004, Mr. Smith unfortunately lost his life in a motorcycle accident.

The scholarship was funded by gifts from family, fraternity brothers and friends. It is the wish of the founders that the fund operate as a Book Scholarship.
