W. Earle Wilson, Jr. Endowed Award

This award was established in 1993 by the Wilson family in memory of their husband and father, W. Earle Wilson, Jr.. who was a Track and Football Coach at CAU until his untimely death in August, 1992. Earle Wilson attended Clark College in the late fifties. Throughout his association with the University, his primary concern was for the student-athletes he came in contact with on a daily basis. He dedicated his life to young men and women at CAU who were participating in football and track. His teachings and philosophies extended beyond CAU, as he embraced youth through Atlanta, constantly preaching discipline, organization, and hoe to focus on ones goals. Coach Earle, as he was affectionately called, believed that hard work, coupled with persistence was essential to achieving ones goals. he believed that ones faith and belief in God would overcome any obstacle.
