W.H. Crogman Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The W.H. Crogman Memorial Endowed Scholarship fund was established by his daughter, Mrs. Edith Crogman Brown with a gift from her estate in 1988. W. H. Crogman was the first African-American President of Clark College (1903 to 1910). He was also a distinguished American Scholar and professor of Greek and Latin. He had eight children who grew up on the Clark campus. Mrs. Brown was one of them.
