The Henry C. McBay Endowed Scholarship Fund was initiated by a grant to Dr. McBay from the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, for receiving the 1995 American Chemical Society award for encouraging disadvantaged students into careers in the Chemical Sciences; Dr. McBay used the award money to set up this scholarship; Dr. McBay taught Chemistry to Atlanta University Center students for 40 years; He received his master’s degree from Atlanta University.
