A beloved and cherished son, older brother, cousin, grandson and friend to many. Mani was a charismatic, handsome, intelligent, funny, athletic and vibrant young man. Determined to make a bright future for himself, Mani specifically sought out Clark Atlanta University and its excellent business school in hopes of earning his bachelor’s degree to advance his ambitions of being a successful entrepreneur. Mani was hard-working and resilient, obtaining his first job at age 14, then as a representative for an insurance firm during high school, finally landing his dream job as a project coordinator for Kaiser Permanente in his final semester of college at CAU. During that last semester, Mani faced adversity and he unsuccessfully completed one of his final classes which resulted in his graduation being postponed. . Mani was very disappointed but persevered, stayed focused, and enrolled in the course again while working full-time in his new role.. Mani was committed to finishing strong despite this unexpected setback, and this was a testament to his strong character, ambition, and his family’s values on education. Following in the footsteps of his parents and all of his cousins, Mani completed his studies in early December 2020 and set his sights on graduate school to pursue his MBA like many of his family members. Approximately two weeks later, Mani’s family tragically lost him to senseless gun violence. To honor Mani’s beautiful and inspiring spirit, and all he represented, The Mani Adams Jr. Legacy Foundation was established to keep this profound and ambitious young man's legacy alive. Mani left an indelible mark on all those he encountered. The Mani Adams Jr. Scholarship is to be awarded to other African American male students who share Mani's career aspirations of excellence in business and to make their alma mater, The Clark Atlanta University proud.
